Thank you for your interest in getting involved in the UPA Strategic Planning Process.  We are very interested in what you have to say or contribute.

There are two major stages that offer opportunities for involvement.  We hope you will participate in both of them.

Assessment: This stage will be ongoing from the summer of 2006 through the spring of 2007.  During this stage we will be fully engaged in learning about what people on the inside and outside think of the UPA, and Ultimate in general.  Surveys, facilitated group dialogues, and key interview will happen all across the country in numerous and diverse events and venues (tournament, league meetings, conferences, etc.)

Envisioning the Future: In the spring and summer of 2007 we will hold a series of community forums and regionals summits, where the results from the assessment stage will be shared.  Then participants will use the information to envision the next five years and strategize and prioritize together. 

At these community forums and regional summits we will:

• report on what we have learned in our assessment,
• solicit creative input from those inside and outside the Ultimate community on specific topics of interest,
• test for community consensus to guide and direct the plan.
  

If you want to have a real impact on the future of the UPA and get your voice heard, attending one of these events is highly advised. We will do our best to make them convenient, engaging, and well worth your time. If you have a specific agenda, you will have the opportunity to share your ideas and get immediate response and feedback.

The results of these events, which will host hundreds of people, will become the foundation for the strategic plan.  Look for announcements on the website, E-news and in the Ultimate News magazine or contact the Strategic Planning Committee to see how you can get involved.
