Strategy: Align with and Support Other Organizing Bodies (e.g. WFDF) in order to Facilitate International Growth   

It is in the UPA's interest and our members' interest for the world Ultimate community to have a strong and effective international governing body. As a result the UPA will support the growth of Ultimate by investing resources to strengthen the UPA's relationship with WFDF, the World Flying Disc Federation. In order to for the UPA to invest strategic efforts in this arena, the international community must provide meaningful feedback to the UPA.

Tactic: Partner with WFDF in order to implement a strategic thinking process for international growth. The UPA will work with WFDF to create and implement a data-gathering mechanism in order to determine needs of other countries/national associations a) to increase the number of people who play Ultimate and b) to help these other associations become more sustainable and effective. A mini-summit will be held in conjunction with the 2008 WUGC to gather additional data.

Tactic: If warranted and requested make targeted investments to build the organizational capacity of a select number of international governing bodies to support growing the sport of Ultimate internationally. Based on the feedback obtained through dedicated research, the UPA will partner with WFDF or other international governing body to create and disseminate tools for growth.
