On Thursday, May 29th, PayPal will be conducting maintenance and making improvements to its site and as a result the site will be temporarily unavailable. The maintenance will start at 11 PM PDT and is expected to last approximately one hour. Please check the PayPal System Board for possible updates.

College Championships on TV

The UPA is excited to announce that CBS College Sports (formerly CSTV) will once again be covering the finals of the UPA College Championships. Make sure to tell your friends, family and teammates to check out these broadcasts and see Ultimate showcased on national television. This year, the UPA College Championships will be part of the nationwide, multi-sport CBSC Collegiate Nationals event. Show airing premier dates are as follows:

UPA Women's Championship Final Game: June 7th at 8pm EST
UPA Open Championship Final Game: June 8th at 8pm EST

HIGH SCHOOL STATE CHAMPIONS CROWNED

Congratulations to the winners of the Colorado, Maryland and Missouri UPA State Championships. Nine states have held events, with 11 more to go!

Don't forget to check the Score Reporter for results from the Ohio and Virginia events next weekend.

College Championships Schedule Set

The seedings and schedules are set for the UPA College Championships, May 16-18 in Boulder, CO. Check out Series Results on the UPA Score Reporter following each tournament to see how it all unfolded, and see how the 2008 College Series Wildcards were allocated.

All-Region teams and FOTY awards have now been announced.

Youth Championship Updates

Despite strong winds and heavy rain, HS Easterns and HS Westerns both took place this past weekend in Pittsburgh, PA and Independance, MO. At HS Easterns, the top seeded Padeia Women beat Amherst Regional HS in the Girls division, while the Open side saw Columbia HS narrowly defeating Amherst Regional HS. At HS Westerns, the Northwest School defeated Churchill HS in Girls division, while top seeded Lakeside HS beat a suprising 13th seeded Monroe HS in the Open final.

Go to the Youth Division page for information on these exciting events. Also, UPA league bids have been announced for the 2008 Youth Club Championships Phase 2 of the application process is now open for available bids in the Girls and Mixed divisions.
